Good morning people who rely upon the dependable character of God

Luke 7:23 NIV Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of Me (Jesus).

On one hand, God is predictable.

When it comes to God’s character, He is predictable. He is always loving, kind, good, faithful and true. We can fully rely on and have confident trust in Who God is.

But when it comes to God’s ways, variety is something He loves.

In the Bible, God changed things up a lot. Sometimes what He did made sense, and sometimes it didn’t.

And in our lives today, the same is true. Sometimes we can clearly see God’s hand at work, and at other times we have more questions than answers.

And for me, the verse above is summed up in the following question:

“Do we confidently and faithfully walk with and follow God only when He does all that we think He should…or do we still confidently and faithfully walk with and follow God when it appears He is doing something different than what we read in His Word?”
