Good morning people whose desires originate from the heart of God

God expects us to do what He says, including following the daily leading of the Holy Spirit.

The challenge is, many people are unsure if it’s God speaking to them or if it’s just them.

Let me empower you with a truth that my Dad has passed on to me (thanks Dad!).

From the basis of knowing God’s Word (and nothing I say will work without this basis firmly established in your life), there are two scriptures that bring clarity to hearing God speak. Let’s look at the first today.

Psalms 37:4 NKJV Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

This verse does not mean that God will give us whatever is in our heart.

What it does mean, is that when our focus is on delighting in Him, His Word and His ways for us, He will place His desires into our heart – it’s the giving of His desires into our heart, not the fulfilling of the desires that originated from our heart.
