Good morning people who receive the forgiveness of God and pass it on
Matthew 6:7-13 MSG The world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer-ignorant. They’re full of formulas and programs and advice, peddling techniques for getting what you want from God. Don’t fall for that nonsense. This is your Father you are dealing with, and He knows better than you what you need. With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply. Like this: Our Father in heaven, reveal who You are. Set the world right; do what’s best—as above, so below. Keep us alive with three square meals. Keep us forgiven with You and forgiving others. Keep us safe from ourselves and the Devil. You’re in charge! You can do anything You want! You’re ablaze in beauty! Yes. Yes. Yes.
Christians forgive – that’s what we do.
You might say, “I can’t Steve. What they did was unforgiveable.”
I don’t presume to know the depths of your pain and hurt, nor the terrible injustice that was done to you.
But I do know that Father has forgiven us immeasurably much through the sacrifice of His precious One and Only Son Jesus. I know that although we have let Him down time and time again, we have the indescribable privilege of receiving His mercy, forgiveness, love and grace over and over again.
And so He tells us that we can receive freely…but only if we give freely.
I encourage you today to talk with someone if you need to and go on the journey that leads to receiving forgiveness and giving it. Both are essential and both are possible.
