Good morning people of integrity

I just read a little verse that leapt out at me.

2 Corinthians 7:16 I am glad I can have complete confidence in you.

As Christians, we are ones that people should have complete confidence in. When we say we will do something, we do it. When we say we will be there, we are there. Our words should instil confidence in people because we are people of integrity.

This is a challenge to me. I can honestly say that at times people wouldn’t have had complete confidence in me. My words and my actions have not always lined up. But that’s not how I want to live. I want to be a man that everyone can have complete confidence in.

Am I despondent because there have been times when my integrity has lacked. No. Sure I wish I could rewind the clock and erase some pain but I can’t and nor can you. But today we can continue walking forward, and with God’s help and our best effort, I know that we can all be ones that walk with integrity. We can all be ones that others have complete confidence in.

The main ingredient for this to happen is to remember the instructions found in the following verses.

Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
