Good morning people who focus on God when you spend time with your friends

Psalm 14:5b NIV …for God is present in the company of the righteous.

What a powerful little phrase!

The truth is, God is Omnipresent. In other words, He is always, everywhere, all of the time. There is nowhere that God is not there.

“So, why does this verse say that God is present in the company of the righteous?”

I feel Father is highlighting to me that when His children who love Him and pursue Him and His righteousness get together, He is present to act, to respond, to show Himself strong.

Psalm 133 puts it this way: When God’s people are together in unity, God commands a blessing.

Acts 2 shows us that God turns up in powerful ways when His people get together in prayer and focus on Him.

I feel a little challenge in my heart for us today that is triggered by this verse:

“It is great to get together with friends to relax, to have fun, to play games, to talk about sports and hobbies, but what is possible if we got together with our friends outside of ‘church meetings’ and we focused our attention and conversation on God?”

God is ready to do great things among us!
