#3124 – As Jesus Loves

Good morning people who learn to love others from following Jesus’ example

John 15:12-13 NIV 12 My (Jesus) command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Loving others isn’t a suggestion from God; it’s a command. Again, this is not legalism or living under law – this is just right; it’s the way God has declared it so.

And we are not just to love others the best we can or as much as we think we should. We don’t set the bar or the measuring rod for how much or in what way we should love people.

God does and He has made it clear in this passage.

We are to love people in the same way that Jesus loved people. Jesus served someone He knew was going to betray Him to death, and then He told his disciples, “This is how I want you to love people” (John 13:14-15).

It’s time for us to love people as Jesus loves people.
