Good morning people who honour Jesus by honouring the Father

John 15:8 NIV This is to My (Jesus) Father’s glory, that you (Believers) bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be My disciples.

I’ve just seen something else in this verse, and that is: It is really important to Jesus that our Father gets glory from our life.

Jesus is saying here: “If you want to be My disciple, you need to bring glory to My Father by the fruitfulness of your life.´

If I can lean into this further, Jesus is saying: “Don’t say you are My disciple if you don’t want to bring glory to My Father. If you want to honour Me, honour Him.”

Jesus is our example, and this is what He said:

John 17:4 NIV I (Jesus) have brought You (Father) glory on earth by finishing the work You gave Me to do.

Jesus Himself, the Eternal Word, God the Son, lived to bring glory to His Father, and He did this by doing everything His Father told Him to do.

I pray this is the testimony of our lives too! May it all be for the glory of God the Father – this is the evidence of being a disciple of Jesus.
