#3064 – Pray for Them

Good morning people who shift the focus of their prayers to match what Jesus said

I recently saw a picture of some people behind closed doors talking about someone.

I then felt Father say, “Don’t talk about, but pray for”.

Often, I think we talk about situations, problems and people more than we pray about them. We are told to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Also, in relation to prayer, Jesus said:

Matthew 7:7 (NIV) Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

We should pray about situations and people, but I feel Father saying today that there is a deeper level, and that is, praying for people.

Even when it comes to those who are against us, Jesus said:

Matthew 5:44 (NIV) But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

It’s not so much about praying that they will stop, but that God will bless them and do them good! This is what Stephen did for Saul and the result was a transformation into the apostle Paul (Acts 7:54-60).

“Are your prayers focused on praying about someone (that they will change), or do you pray for Father’s blessing, revelation and goodness for people?”

It’s time to shift from talking about to praying for…maybe our breakthrough is on the other side of this kind of selfless and Christlike praying.
