Good morning people who pay attention to how they live their lives

1 Corinthians 10:12 (NIV) So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!

Sometimes the most simple and direct statements are the ones that we need to hear the most. This truth is powerful and needs to be heeded by us all.

There’s a difference between being ‘careful’ and being ‘fear-filled’.

The Bible is clear that God did not make us a slave again to fear (Romans 8:15) and He did not give us a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). Christians are called to live free from the snare of fear.

But we are equally called to live responsible lives that are careful. We are told to ‘be alert and sober minded’ (1 Peter 5:8). We need to pay attention to how we live. We need to adjust as we go as the Spirit of God leads us.
