#3021 – Expected From Us

Good morning people who love to spend time with God in two-way communication

Luke 11:2 (NIV) He said to them, “When you pray, say: “‘Father, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come.’”

Some things are expected of Christ-followers.

I don’t know what you feel when I say that. Perhaps you freely accept this statement. For some, you might have something internally ignite at the thought of ‘not being under law’.

I believe one of the philosophies of our time is that people don’t like being told what to do. There is an independent spirit of this age that infiltrates many, including some Christians.

But simply put, this is not God’s way. For a Christian who is living under grace, and who is living free and deeply loved, there are some things that are expected…and prayer is one of them.

This verse says, ‘when you pray’, not, ‘if you pray’.

“So, are you a praying Christ-follower?”

I pray you are.
