Good morning people who do not live for themselves but for their Father

Prophetic people are about their Father’s business, not about doing what they want. 

There are some Biblical truths that just need to be continually spoken. Living on mission with God’s mission is one of them – ‘being about our Father’s business’.

Luke 2:49 (NKJV) And He (Jesus) said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”

As a child of God, I have been created by God to do the will of God. I don’t exist to ‘run my own race’, but to ‘run the race marked out for me’ (Hebrews 12:1). You are too.

If we are not careful, we will think certain occupations are more about the Father’s business than others. But here’s my challenge: It’s not so much about the occupation as it is about the person doing the occupation.

As a carpenter, Jesus was about His Father’s business. Why? Because Jesus was submitted to His Father’s will always. It wasn’t about being a carpenter – it was about being His Father’s Son.

”Are you living for yourself or for the glory of God? Are you focused on your mission or your Father’s mission?”
