#2134 – Assigned Battles

Good morning people who are empowered by Almighty God

1 Chronicles 18:1 (NIV) In the course of time, David defeated the Philistines and subdued them, and he took Gath and its surrounding villages from the control of the Philistines.

1 Chronicles 18:6 (NIV) He put garrisons in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to him and brought him tribute. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went.

“What is your starting point when it comes to your view of the battles that you will face in life?”

Sometimes victory over our enemies takes some time. We would like the battle to be over immediately and then to live in peace from the enemy, but sometimes the enemy is defeated in the course of time.

Don’t grow weary. Don’t give up. Don’t cast away your confidence. Keep on going. Keep on praying. Keep on fighting.

I believe that when we live under divine command, we have divine power. I believe success in God is guaranteed but that success might look different than what we would like. God is always working for our good, and sometimes the success of a difficult time is the development of more Christ-like character rather than the result that we desire.

For the battles assigned to you by God, I pray God gives you strength to continue and strategy to win. I pray God reveals His divine nature in you as you walk in your God-given spiritual authority; the authority that Jesus purchased with His blood on the cross of Calvary.
