#204 – Incorruptible

Good morning incorruptible people

Have a look at this amazing passage and wonderful example for all of us in our lives.

Daniel 6:3-5 3 Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom. At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent. Finally these men said, “We will never find any basis for charges against this man Daniel unless it has something to do with the law of his God.”

Wow! What an amazing testimony to have! We see several things in this passage.

Firstly Daniel had exceptional qualities that distinguished him from the rest. We live in a time where people often do enough to ‘get by’. Exceptional qualities in business have often been replaced by mediocrity. With a change of focus and a clear understanding that everything we do is for God, this can be our testimony also.

Secondly this is not talking about ‘the ministry’ but Daniel was exceptional serving in governmental affairs. Too many times we separate in our minds that which is natural and that which is spiritual. Again everything we do should be for the Lord and it should be with exceptional qualities. God wants to be seen through you in your computer business, the factory, the building site, the law firm, the restaurant or wherever you work.

Thirdly Daniel was neither corrupt nor negligent. Oh how we need every Believer to have this testimony. We need to handle ourselves wisely and in a God honouring and people valuing way. We need moral and financial integrity and we need to also be diligent and trustworthy. We should be the best employees at our work because we are doing it all for the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Help us Lord to have incorruptible hearts and exceptional qualities and help us to be diligent in all that we do.”
