#180 – Talk It Out

Good morning people who need each other

From the beginning of time God said it’s not good for man to be alone, so He made a helper suitable for him. Another scripture says one can put a thousand to flight and two can put ten thousand to flight. God’s purpose and plan is for people to do life in relationship because He knows we need each other.

One of the problems is many times we try to do the tough parts of life alone. Sometimes when there are problems in our lives and our relationships, we try and try to fix them with limited success. We feel like a failure but are slow to ask someone else for help because we don’t want to be seen like a failure. We go it alone and many times it doesn’t work for us.

Today I want to mention the importance of talking things out with someone you trust. I personally have benefited greatly from wise counsel throughout my life. One of the words that is taboo for many is ‘counselling’. We think counselling is for those with serious problems. Actually counselling is for anyone that has a challenge that they are finding difficult to find freedom and understanding by themselves. I have had counselling this year for a challenge in my life and I can tell you I am very grateful to God for the wisdom given to my counsellor. I can honestly tell you I am freer today than before I talked it out.

Galatians 6:2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.

I encourage you to find a godly person and talk things out. This is God’s plan and this is one of the ways God has intended freedom to be yours.
