#175 – Our Tombstone

Good morning people with a purpose

It sounds pretty morbid from the title but it’s not. I have a simple question for us all today. If you could have anything written on your tombstone that described how you lived, what would it be? This is a great question to ask and contemplate.

I want “He was a passionate lover of Jesus; He was like Christ” written on my tombstone.

The first thing is we all need to give some thought to how we want to be remembered. We will all have a legacy; what will it be? What will people say about us at our funeral? Will we have impacted and brought value to other people’s lives? Will we have walked the way Jesus wanted us to? We need to take some time to pray and think about this important question because without a plan, people live carelessly.

The second thing is we need to start living now how we want to be remembered later. We all must start somewhere and it’s never too late while we have breath. Are we living for the moment or are we living ‘on purpose’? Our lives can make a difference.

We are approaching another new year. Will you join me in making this coming year count for the Kingdom of God? Will you join me in living with purpose?

2 Corinthians 6:1 (The Message) Companions as we are in this work with you, we beg you, please don’t squander one bit of this marvellous life God has given us.
