Good morning overcoming people!

I read an amazing quote in a book yesterday that showed a different perspective on the challenges of life. The book is ‘In the grip of grace’ by Max Lucado and this is what it said:

‘Could it be you are under attack not because you are so weak but because you might become so strong?’

Wow! I wonder if this is closer to God’s thoughts about us. God knows that we might currently be a Gideon before hearing ‘mighty man of valour’ spoken by the Lord. He doesn’t see us just as we are but He sees what we can and are becoming! The devil doesn’t’ want us to succeed so he wants to take us out; he wants to steal, kill and destroy. BUT God has come to give us life and life more abundantly! God is greater!

Today I want to speak into your spirit a creative word of faith. If you are in Christ then you are a new creation. You can do all things through Jesus Christ who gives you strength. God’s desire is for you to become strong in spirit and character. Today it’s time to get a different perspective on your battle. Today it’s time to see what God is trying to do in us and not what the devil is trying to do. It’s time to submit to God and shift our view of the challenge. Thank God today for His plan for your life and thank God for the challenge that will make you stronger. God believes in you and so do I.

James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
