#153 – Tolerance

Good morning tolerant people

God created all sorts of people. He created some fast and some slow, some tall and some short, some loud and some quiet. God created different personalities with different likes and dislikes. God created people to relate to Him in different ways; we all have unique sacred pathways to God. For some life is relatively easy and for others there are many challenges that are a heavy burden to bear. Some get things quickly while others seem to take a while to learn an important lesson. We are all different.

But we are all deeply loved by God and therefore God’s desire is that we love one another as He has loved us. Too many times people are not meeting our expectations so we get frustrated. Frustration that is not dealt with leads to tainting our perception and often arrives at a point where nothing the other person does is good enough in our eyes. We become intolerant and critical people. I don’t believe this is God’s desire or heartbeat.

It’s time to stop seeing different as wrong. It’s time to stop judging those who are on a different stage of the journey to us. It’s time to stop judging those whose journey is completely different to ours. It’s time to stop being arrogant by not accepting a different opinion to ours.

It’s time to accept each other. I’m not talking about condoning sin but many times our frustration is not about sin, it’s about difference. Never forget, God created difference. Today I pray that every person will accept others in their lives. I pray that we will love enough to enjoy the journey and encourage each other forward knowing that we are different people and that is good.

1 Corinthians 12:4-6 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.
