Good morning loved of God
Jonah 2:9 But I, with a song of thanksgiving, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. Salvation comes from the Lord.
Sometimes we need to stop and think about the commitment, the covenant that we have made with God. When we accept God we enter into a partnership in which He commits Himself to us and we commit ourselves to Him. The Bible talks about ‘denying ourselves, taking up our cross and fully following Him’. This is a commitment that every Believer has made.
Have we made good on our commitment to God or have we at times run away from it? If we have run away, it’s not too late to come back. Remember the final chapter has not yet been written for your life! Today is a day of new beginnings.
Sometimes we come to God and repent and then think that’s the end of it. He absolutely does forgive us immediately and we can move on but we also need to consider what He has asked us to do in the past and what we have committed to Him. We don’t just move on but we obey what He has asked us to do in the past; we make good our vow to Him. Today is the day that some of us need to make good on the vow that we made to God. He is waiting to embrace you. He is wanting to embrace you. He is wanting to pour in the blessings that belong to you; that have your name on them. I encourage you today to make good what you have vowed. God bless you.
