Good morning people who desire God more

Recently I was fasting and praying and I had two requests.

Firstly, I want to have the mind of God in every situation.

Secondly, I want the courage to do what Jesus would do in every situation.

How desperately we all need to hear God. We need to know what God is feeling in every situation. We need to know what God is thinking. We also need to know what God would have us do.

God reveals this both through His Word and through the Holy Spirit. If we are listening, we will learn. If we are hungry, we will be filled.

Once we hear clearly and we know what God would have us do, we then need courage, at times a lot of courage, to follow through and do what Jesus would do.

The reality is the right thing to do, the godly thing to do, is often the most difficult. I wish it was always easy, but it’s not. It’s not easy to forgive someone who has hurt us. It’s not easy to be patient and kind. It’s not easy to be self-controlled. It’s not easy to be positive and faith-filled. It’s not always easy to be Christ-like in every situation…

…but it is possible
