#941 – Not Imagined

Good morning people with an accurate perspective

Mark 4:35-41 That day when evening came, He said to His disciples, “Let us go to the other side.” Leaving the crowd behind, they took Him along, just as He was, in the boat. There were also other boats with Him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, don’t You care if we drown?” He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to His disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!”

The storm was not imagined; it was real.

A furious squall came up and the waves were so large they were breaking over the boat they were in. Have you ever experienced that? What the disciples experienced, what you experienced, was real.

The challenge is that those who have not experienced our storm can at times diminish what we have gone through. Have you ever had that? But you know what you felt and what you went through. The last thing we need is someone minimalising our storm and I am not here to do that.

I want to add validity to what you are going through. I understand it is real; you are experiencing what you are experiencing. Nobody can argue with that, nor should they.

I also want to add validity to Who God is; equally as real as the storm, but far more powerful. This has been my experience and I pray that it will be yours also.

I encourage you to lift up your eyes to the greatest power on earth and allow His reality to lovingly overwhelm your own reality.
