Good morning people who yield yourself to the leadership and sovereignty of God.

Proverbs 1:2 MEV To know wisdom and instruction, to perceive the words of understanding.

I hear the Lord say, “Learning the right things is learning the things of God.”

Wisdom and instruction and understanding are not just about acquiring information. It is not about simply having more knowledge. This is not what wisdom is!

To know wisdom is to know God, and to know God is to know His ways and to walk in them.

I feel it is imperative at the start of our journey through the book of Proverbs to point us to obedience and not just knowledge. The truth is, even when it comes to Scripture, many ‘know’ more than they obey. And yet the very word ‘know’ is one of intimacy; it is about ‘entering into’. We don’t really “know” the truth if we don’t “live” the truth.

How much of your time and passionate pursuit is given to knowing wisdom and instruction, and to perceiving the words of understanding?

The things of God are not stumbled upon, but rather, they are passionately pursued and entered into.

The following scripture speaks directly into the heart of what Father is saying today:

Matthew 5:6 NIV “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”
