Good morning people who live in the revelation that everything good comes from God.

John the Baptist accurately declared the following life-directing truth:

John 3:27 NIV To this John replied, “A person can receive only what is given them from heaven.”

What could our lives look like if we truly live with this belief?

Nothing I have is any good if it originates solely from me. Yes, I believe that God can and does place His dreams and desires in my heart, but that is exactly the point – they originate from God!

Morals and standards, values and beliefs that are not from heaven are not right. They are not helpful, and in fact, they are the source of much pain and suffering.

I do not, cannot, nor ever will know better than God. No person can! It’s impossible!

Therefore, I think it is time that we humble ourselves and turn to God and embrace His kingdom ways; His heaven to earth ways.

Paul wrote it like this:

Acts 17:28 NIV “‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’”

Here’s what James the brother of Jesus said:

James 1:17-18 NIV Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

My prayer is that we come to the end of self, and as a result, that we learn to live fully alive in God. May we look like Jesus.
