Good morning people who have a divinely orchestrated purpose for living.

John 1:6 NIV There was a man sent from God whose name was John.

The apostle John wrote about John the Baptist and he said that he was sent from God. These words leapt off the page at me today! John the Baptist most surely was sent from God.

But so are you and I!

We must have a clearer and more present picture of the divine design reality of our existence. We were conceived in the mind of God before we were conceived by a mother and father.

The truthful reality is that God sent you and I into this world for a purpose! And I believe our purpose continues to be the same as John the Baptist’s and the early disciples. Here it is:

John 1:7-8 NIV He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.

The apostle Paul spoke on this so clear:

2 Corinthians 5:17-20 NIV Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

One of the clearest definitions of the word reconciliation is to return to favour with. This is our “job description!” This is our divine purpose and holy calling! This is why we were sent to the world!

We were sent to the earth in order to return people to favour with God through being a witness who testifies about Jesus Christ!
