Good morning people who are taught God’s ways in order to deepen relationship with Him.

Exodus 33:13 NIV “If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you.Remember that this nation is your people.”

The purpose of learning God’s ways is to know God and find favour with Him. This pattern has not changed.

I have long said that the purpose of God’s Word is to reveal the God of the Word to us. The purpose of knowing Scripture is to know God.

Favour is found by us when we keep our relationship with God as our greatest priority.

Yes, because we love God, we obey God. This is right and proper for God’s beloved sons and daughters. Our hearts should desire to do what God says.

But as we repeatedly read in the Bible, people can do what God says and yet not know Him.

I truly believe that these are days when God is inviting His people to enter into Him. Yes, if you are born again, God lives in you. This is wonderful!

But God also wants us to live in Him.

Knowing God’s ways reveals God’s heart. We see God in His instructions, because we see the extravagant love He has for us. Our freedom is on His heart and His desire is towards us. This truth empowers deeper intimacy.

May we all find favour with our Abba Father.
