Good morning people who continually say YES to the Holy Spirit.
The Lord whispered this phrase into my heart:
“It’s not what you have – it’s what you are ruled by.”
I feel the Holy Spirit highlighting to me that this is in so many areas of life and it greatly affects our thinking. Let me see if I can start to unpack it.
You may physically feel unwell in your body. You don’t have to deny it, but nor do you need to be ruled by it.
When Paul had an ongoing physical affliction, he repeatedly asked the Lord to take it away from him. This is not wrong to do, in fact, it is right to do. I am presently doing this with my physical eyesight as I need a miracle.
But look at where Paul landed in his conversation with God:
2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
We can erroneously think that God’s power is only seen in the healing of our bodies (and indeed it is seen in supernatural healing).
But Paul demonstrated to us that God’s power is made perfect in us when what we have does not rule our lives!
Oh, I pray this makes sense today and that we all receive revelation of this empowering truth!
