#4111 – Always Before Me

Good morning passionate lovers of God

I just read one line of a verse that I thought was wonderful. Let me share it with you.

Psalm 16:8a I have set the Lord always before me.

Isn’t that awesome! Imagine what would happen in our lives if we lived by this creed. Imagine what would happen in the Church if we lived by this creed. Imagine what would happen in the World if we lived by this creed. Imagine the change in us all.

The Bible often uses language that many think is too radical. Here are a couple of examples.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 1:2 But his delight (a blessed person – see verse 1) is in the law of the Lord; and on His law he meditates day and night.

But Is it too radical? Or is it the way it is meant to be? Is there so much more available for us than we often experience?

Is one of the reasons we often find ourselves in a place we don’t want to be because God is only a part of our lives and not always before us?

Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

Today let’s live with the Lord always before us.
