Good morning people who are dependent on God

Are you in a situation where the enemy is pursuing you? Are you in a situation where your back is up against the wall? Have you been led out by the Lord into a place that now seems to be the place of challenge and difficulty?

If that is you, and I know it is all of us at times, what do we do? Is there any good advice for us in these seasons of life? I think there is.

I’ve been reading through Exodus and the incredible story of God bringing His people, the Israelites, out of captivity in Egypt. The children of Israel witnessed miracle after miracle, but like you and me, at times they doubted God and wondered what to do.

We pick up the story where the Israelites are trapped between the Egyptians and the Red Sea. Have you ever found yourself trapped between two insurmountable objects? Here’s Moses’ instruction.

Exodus 14:13-14 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Do not be afraid…stand firm…let the Lord fight for you…be still.

This is such good advice that we should look at it further tomorrow.
