Good morning people who receive prophetic revelation from God

Revelation 1:1a NIV The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants what must soon take place...

God speaks to people about ‘what must soon take place’ – this is the essence of the prophetic.

The prophetic cannot originate from us. Prophecy is not an opportunity to lead or manipulate people into doing something we want them to do. Nor is it based in and centred around something that we naturally know.

Prophecy is a gift from God. Once again, we must remember that all revelation, in all it’s forms (including prophecy), is from God.

One of the things that I am starting to see more and more is that prophecy is simply us seeing what Father sees about a person, place or situation, and then declaring that.

And a beautiful part of this wonderful gift from God is that, because God is eternal and exists outside of time which He created, He is in the future now.

This is important because, when He gives revelation about ‘what must soon take place’, He is speaking from actually seeing it now, because He is there now!

So today, let’s not settle for our human reality and our limited natural  perspective. Rather, let’s be people who seek to see how Father sees. Let’s be people who cry out for a spiritual and heavenly perspective. Let’s look to see revelation from heaven.
