#3417 – Honouring Carl

Good morning people who find true contentment in God Himself

Imperfect, but good.

Although we are perfect (complete) in Christ, many of us face imperfect realities in our bodies, minds, emotions and relationships.

Today I want to honour one of my greatest examples of being ‘imperfect, but good’, and that is one of my closest friends, Carl.

I have known Carl for close to 20 years. He has always had physical challenges that would dampen the spirits of many. His physical reality has seen him fall, break bones, have surgery and continually have limited mobility…

…yet I have never once heard Carl complain. In fact, he is always “Good!” even when ‘reality’ would try to demand a different answer. But he truly is good – he is sincerely good, and that is because he keeps Father’s goodness always before him. Carl lives with the right perspective and focus.

Today I honour you Carl, and I thank you for your inspiration. I also commend your example to all of our BIY readers.

May we all choose to be imperfect, but good.
