#2315 – Precious Gift

Good morning people who live in and live from God’s Word

Psalm 19:7-11 (NIV) The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. By them Your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

Oh how lovely is the Word of God!

“Father, give Your people revelation of this truth today.”

God’s Word is perfect, it refreshes the soul. The Word does not lay burdens on people – it lifts burdens off! The Word does not drain people – it refreshes people!

God’s Word is the wisdom that we need in life. Mankind is not the fountain of wisdom – God is! God’s Word is truth; it is right – it just is. The result of living in this ‘right truth’ is deep joy in our hearts; joy that is from God – joy that is God. God’s Word lifts our countenance.

God’s Word is pure; its purpose is always to do us good – never to take from us for God’s own personal gain at our expense. God’s Word is also firm; it is stable and trust-worthy. This is God’s Word.

Living in and from God’s Word results in a great reward – or more accurately: A Great Reward! God Himself is the Greatest Reward, and it’s in His Word where He is discovered most.

It’s time to thank God for the precious gift of His Word.

It’s time to look for God in His Word and to ‘taste and see how Good He is”!
