#2300 – Restoring Prayer

Good morning people who partner with God through prayer

God is restoring people to a place of prayer. God is calling His people to once again become ‘houses or prayer’, both individually and corporately. It’s time to reclaim what has largely been neglected.

Prayer is God’s primary invitation to be involved in what He is doing on the earth. Yes, action is required, but action needs to flow from and be birthed in prayer.

The restoration of prayer to God’s people is not contingent upon our circumstances or our feelings. It is not contingent upon how people treat us or what people say about us. In fact, prayer is going to become front and centre again in the Body of Christ, despite what we are going through.

King David was a man who had many enemies and had many challenging times. We know that during this time, he was a man who loved to worship. But did you know that he was also a man of prayer?

Psalm 109:1-5 (NIV) My God, whom I praise, do not remain silent, for people who are wicked and deceitful have opened their mouths against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues. With words of hatred they surround me; they attack me without cause. In return for my friendship they accuse me, but I am a man of prayer. They repay me evil for good, and hatred for my friendship.

“What place does prayer have in your life?”

“Are your prayers primarily focused on yourself or do you intercede for others?”

It’s time for prayer to once again become our priority.
