Good morning people who honour God at all times,
Acts 21:5-6 But when our time was up, we left and continued on our way. All the disciples and their wives and children accompanied us out of the city, and there on the beach we knelt to pray. After saying goodbye to each other, we went aboard the ship, and they returned home.
This passage is very challenging.
The apostles, all the disciples from the region, their wives and their children knelt down in a very public place and prayed together. This was the dock where the ships came in and out. There would have been other people bustling around, coming and going.
Yet there was no sense of quietly praying under their breath or praying at home before leaving so as to avoid embarrassment. No, their relationship with God was everything, and therefore it was a pleasure to talk to God at every opportunity – regardless of who could hear.
Let’s not be ashamed of Jesus Christ. Let’s not hide our light. Let’s not be embarrassed about the One Who hung naked on a cross for us.
Let’s honour Jesus before people so that He will honour us before the Father in heaven.
