#1166 – The Unexpected

Good morning people hungry for more of God

Acts 7:30-32 After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to Moses in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai. When he saw this, he was amazed at the sight. As he went over to get a closer look, he heard the Lord say: “I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” Moses trembled with fear and did not dare to look.

God often appears to us in ways we would not expect.

I read many accounts of what God did in the Bible and the ways He revealed Himself to people, and think to myself, “I wouldn’t have done that”.

We need to ensure we don’t miss God due to our own narrow-mindedness.

When God comes to us in a way we would not expect, it’s natural to be curious and to want to check it out. Moses did this.

I’ll be honest with you, there are plenty of things around the Body of Christ that I’m not comfortable with. I’ve seen things that I think are strange. My natural tendency is to dismiss these things as excessive or weird
