Good morning people who trust in God’s ways
Acts 7:17 As the time drew near for God to fulfil His promise to Abraham, the number of our people in Egypt greatly increased.
As the time drew near for God to fulfil His promise…
God always fulfils His promises.
Let’s be honest here today. There have been times in all of our lives where we wonder if God has done what He said He would do. We have all had moments of doubt and looked at evidence that seemed to indicate a broken promise from God.
But today I want to say to us all that it’s impossible for God not to do what He has said.
Our challenge is we see through limited human perspective. We can’t do otherwise without a revelation from God. Our starting point, without revelation, is not conducive to the impossible faith realm where God operates from.
But let me say it again: It’s impossible for God not to do what He has said.
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfil?
We must understand and accept that God often does things differently from how we think He is going to and God’s timing is often different to ours. The important word here is different. Different is not wrong and we must accept God’s ways are higher than our ways and God’s ways are always right and just.
I pray we will all put our trust and confidence in an unchanging God today Who cannot lie. Those who have, have received a confidence that is unshakable – a confidence not in circumstances, but in the God who is sovereign always!
