#1139 – Loyalty

Good morning people who are committed to others

(By Margaret McCracken)

Great friendships are marked by loyalty. I have a friendship with a lady spanning 35 years and it is characterised by loyalty, faithfulness, integrity, keeping confidences, love and many other wonderful qualities.

It is characterised by the following verse:

Proverbs 18:24 There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

It is a process and will last a lifetime.

The older I get, the more I value my friendships, particularly those that span decades. Each is marked by a deep loyalty and commitment to one another.

You are never really alone if you have loyal friend.

In all relationships there will be differences of opinions and tests. We are all flawed people – that’s just a reality. But how we deal with these differences is the issue. To the degree we value that relationship is the degree we will desire to work it out quickly.

I have a conviction that the closest relationships to me (family and friends) will never be broken
