Good morning people empowered by God’s will
1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
This is a promise from God that we will always be able to overcome every temptation we ever face. Now remember, God cannot lie, that’s impossible. Therefore this statement must be true.
The reality is I sometimes don’t think this statement is true because of how I feel.
My focus in these moments is on my inability. I could therefore incorrectly conclude that this Scripture is incorrect. But it’s not.
The power to fulfil this Scripture does not come from my ability but from God’s promise and God’s ability. We need to understand and accept this today!
In a similar way that God’s promises are often conditional on the decision of our will that we are yet to make, God’s requirements are conditional upon the decision of His will that He has already made.
Read that again!
Let me explain it further:
When God promises something, there are often conditions which require us to make a choice; a decision of our will. God has made a promise (past tense) and we are yet to make a decision. The foundation here is God’s promises.
Even when something is required of us, the foundation of that present decision is based in a decision that God has already made; a decision to bless us and empower us!!! God’s decisions that He has already made are always the foundation and the power for us to make the right decision.
But we must accept the truth that God has done His part, so that we can do our part.
