Good morning people who were saved by grace and who are sustained by grace
Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
We did not, nor could we ever save ourselves. God draw us to Himself, loved us extravagantly, and extended measureless mercy, grace and forgiveness. We did not deserve it, nor could we earn it.
I believe many of us accept this. But what we struggle to accept is continuing to live the same way.
Somehow, a pervasive and destructive belief has crept into many Believer’s lives, and that is, we are unworthy now to receive the same mercy, grace and forgiveness that saved, even though we are now alive in Christ.
This following verse needs to become a living reality to many of us:
Colossians 2:6 NIV So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him.
We didn’t save ourselves, and we can’t sustain ourselves. We’ve always needed God, and we always will.
May we all continue to live our lives in Christ,
