Good morning people who receive and pass on the love of God.

Colossians 3:12-14 NIV Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

We can never overstate the power of God’s love!

Having a revelation of and accepting God’s love is the best fuel for clothing ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Having a revelation of and accepting God’s love is the best fuel for bearing with each other and forgiving one another.

The best fuel for godly living is God’s love.

But have a look what Paul clearly writes:

And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Love is something we must put on. Once again, we see intentionality is needed. Choosing daily to put on God’s love is essential. God would not have said it through Paul if it was just automatic now that we are a Christian. No. we must put on love.

The best check list of measuring whether or not we have put on love today is in the following Scripture. Please take a moment to prayerfully reflect on this and ask Father if there is something that you need to choose to put on today when it comes to His love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8a NIV Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 

May we love like God loves us.
