Good morning people whose eyes are open to see from heaven’s perspective.
There’s always more of God to discover, but our discovery of God is not “our discovery”; it is God revealing Himself to the seeking and sacred heart.
Matthew 16:16-17 NIV Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.”
Revelation comes from our Father in heaven, not from our study on earth. Yes, it is great to study and to learn – this is what disciples do – but we must understand Who the Source is.
Ephesians 1:17-19a NIV I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.
This is revelation, and this is something that Paul kept asking God for. We know from the collective of Paul’s writings that he earnestly desired this for himself, but we also see that he passionately desired it for the church.
Good ideas are good ideas. Knowledge is knowledge. And revelation is revelatiion. It is from heaven, and it is something that we should ask God for continually.
Open our eyes Lord, to see what You want us to see and to know what You want us to know.
