Good morning people whose heart responds to the Spirit of the living God.
Luke 1:41-44 NIV When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.
Unborn John the Baptist leaped in Elizabeth’s womb, and Elzabeth herself was filled with the Holy Spirit (before the day of Pentecost in Acts 2), just being in proximity to unborn Jesus! Just let that sink in for a moment.
I have a yearning in my heart for people to encounter God before they even know God.
Recently, at church, we heard wonderful testimonies from precious people who were about to be baptised. These were people who had no church or Christian background, and who had only been saved a couple of months. They testified of the times when God intervened in their lives before they knew it was God!
And I say, DO IT AGAIN LORD!!
For those we love – and even for our enemies – Father we pray, let people encounter the beauty and majesty of Jesus Christ, even before they recognise it is You.
