Good morning people who find your life in the Lord Jesus through the love of the Father.
Ephesians 2:4-5 NIV But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
The reason we are saved is because of God’s grace! It’s not because we are good enough, for in and of ourselves, we never could be and never will be. We need God in order to have God.
God’s grace is rooted in God’s great love. It is true to say, everything from God is rooted in His immeasurable love. Why? Because we are repeatedly told that God IS love.
God’s love and God’s grace are inseparable from God’s mercy. And this mercy of God is not running out any time soon! God is rich, that is, ‘wealthy, abounding with’ mercy. What we need can only be found in God!
One of the most beautiful and unique truths of Christianity is the truth that God made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions. Paul writes this so clearly in the following verse:
Romans 5:8 NIV But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
We didn’t have to clean ourselves up to come to the perfect God. This is amazing! This is the power of the good news of Jesus Christ!
And once again, this can be traced right back to the love of the Father:
John 3:16-17 NIV For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
You are saved because you are loved by God the Father.
