#5457 – Without Defect

Good morning people who are willing to go a little deeper with God today.

Yesterday, we clearly stated this truth: The offering that God requires is the offering that God requires.

Here’s another scripture that peels back another layer of truth:

Leviticus 4:3 NIV If the anointed priest sins, bringing guilt on the people, he must bring to the Lord a young bull without defect as a sin offering for the sin he has committed.

In the Bible, we repeatedly hear the words ‘without defect’ when it comes to offerings that are brought to the Lord.

Why is this important?

Because an offering is not an opportunity to get rid of what you don’t want. Oh, please read that again!

An offering is to be the best and there is always a cost involved.

If you have any uncertainty on this, think about God’s example to us that is found in possibly the most well-known of all Bible verses. Here it is:

John 3:16 NIV For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God’s best for our best – this is the example of the types of offerings that please God.
