#5453 – Eternal Measure

Good morning people who allow the Holy Spirit to set your direction and your pace.

Here’s another prayer from my journal that I feel might encourage and help some of you today.

“There will always be more to do, more people to see, more prayers to pray, more devotions to write, more chores to be done, more places to go, more meetings to prepare for, more, more, more…

BUT GOD knows the beginning and the end. He knows the priorities and the pace. He knows the direction and He knows how to redirect.

He knows what truly matters and what seems important, but is not really as important as it appears. He knows, that’s it, He knows.

And as we honour and obey Him moment by moment, He smiles. There truly is an unforced rhythm of grace to be enjoyed, and this is what I choose.

We must not bow to or come under the expectations of people – our own included – but rather, ask God to direct us and then do what He says.

And we must be ok with things not being done, either at all, or in the way or in the timing that we thought or would like.

We must measure our use of God’s gift of time by an eternal measure and through a divine perspective.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.

Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

God’s got you!
