Good morning people who recognise the devil’s schemes.

The following scripture is almost unbelievable, but in it lies an important lesson for us as the people of God today.

1 Samuel 11:1-3 NIV Nahash the Ammonite went up and besieged Jabesh Gilead. And all the men of Jabesh said to him, “Make a treaty with us, and we will be subject to you.” But Nahash the Ammonite replied, “I will make a treaty with you only on the condition that I gouge out the right eye of every one of you and so bring disgrace on all Israel.” The elders of Jabesh said to him, “Give us seven days so we can send messengers throughout Israel; if no one comes to rescue us, we will surrender to you.”

I don’t know about you, but I don’t think this is a good deal!

It’s interesting to note that the name Nahash means serpent. The devil is also known as the serpent.

Here’s what I feel Father is saying:

It is a foolish thing to ever try and make a treaty with the enemy and to make yourself subject to him. Whatever he promises to give you will always come at a great cost and personal loss.

We are the people of God! We are royal sons and daughters of the Great I Am!

It’s time to walk in the truth of who God is and to live secure in Him and in His Word.
