Good morning people who move past your reluctance.
1 Samuel 10:20-23 NIV When Samuel had all Israel come forward by tribes, the tribe of Benjamin was taken by lot. Then he brought forward the tribe of Benjamin, clan by clan, and Matri’s clan was taken. Finally Saul son of Kish was taken. But when they looked for him, he was not to be found. So they inquired further of the Lord, “Has the man come here yet?” And the Lord said, “Yes, he has hidden himself among the supplies.” They ran and brought him out, and as he stood among the people he was a head taller than any of the others.
Saul was reluctant to be promoted into a position of significance, even though the Lord had chosen him to be the king.
Many believers are also reluctant to step into their God-ordained positions of significance.
I feel to say to you today, “It’s ok to start reluctant, but don’t stop there.”
At the time of Saul’s public choosing, he was hiding among the supplies. Not a great start, and not a great way to instill confidence in those he was called to lead. Yet, he was God’s choice.
Don’t allow your feelings or insecurities to rob others of what Father wants to do through you. If He has called you, then you are well able.
