Good morning people who walk through darkness with the God of light.
Psalms 23:4 NIV Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
What we walk through is not as powerful as who walks with us!
I want you to read that sentence several times and allow the truth of it to sink in deep!
We are promised dark valleys, persecution, tribulation and difficulty. I know we hate to hear this (and it doesn’t sound very encouraging), but this scripture says it and Jesus repeatedly made it clear. Here’s just one such verse:
John 16:33 NIV “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
But don’t stop at the part about having trouble! Keep on going and land in God’s promise to His children: “But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
And then there’s the preceding truth of “In Me you may have peace.”
When God walks with us – and that’s always His desire and invitation – we truly can walk through anything and everything. Without Him we can’t, but with Him and with a focus and reliance upon Him, we can.
