Good morning people who are loved by Jesus beyond human description.
John 15:9 NIV “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.”
The Father loves Jesus perfectly. In fact, the Father is love, and He is one with His Son. There is a depth to the love between the Father and the Son that words are inadequate to describe.
Yet, without contradicting this limitless love, the Father asked the Son to deny Himself, take up His cross and follow His will for the sake of us all. This itself was an expression of Love.
Jesus then tells His disciples that He loves us the same way His Father loves Him! Again, this is both perfectly and it is also sacrificially. The two are not mutually exclusive. More often than not, they are often synonymous.
May we all have a deeper revelation of the love of God the Father for His Son, as well as the love of the Son for us.
Then Jesus once again repeats, “Now remain in my love.” He repeats this often, and His repetition is noteworthy.
Some would argue that by being a Christian, we automatically remain in His love. Positionally as a son of the Father, yes, we remain in God’s love as a believer. But many times the cares of this world get our attention more than the love of God.
I hear Jesus say, “Now don’t get overwhelmed by what you are going through. Remember, you are in Me, therefore, you are in My love and in My Father’s love. Make sure you stay focused on this.”
