#5151 – God of Commands

Good morning people who value the commands of God in your life.

John 14:31 NIV “but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me. “Come now; let us leave.”

God the Father is a God of commands. He was, He is, and He always will be.

It is true that we are now not under law, but we are under grace. But this does not mean that God’s commands are now suggestions that we can take or leave.

I find it very revealing that Jesus states to us clearly that He loves His Father and He does exactly what His Father – our Father – has commanded Him to do. Please think about this today.

Jesus – the eternal Word and the eternal Son of God – does not kick against His Father’s commands. He embraces them and lives by them because He knows that His Father is always good.

If this is true of Jesus, it most certainly should be true in our lives.

I believe that God is stirring a call back to His kingdom ways. This most definitely includes calling us back as His holy people who live by His commands and by His declaration of truth.

Jesus proved His love to His Father by His obedience to His commands. We do the same.
