#5141 – The Father’s Words

Good morning people who hear the Father through the Son and the Holy Spirit.

John 14:23-24 NIV Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

One of the great mysteries of God is that the Father is always the Initiator. This truth is repeated throughout scripture for the one who has eyes to see. And in this verse, Jesus once again makes it clear.

Jesus is the Word. He is also the Truth. When He speaks, things happen. More accurately, when Jesus (or the Eternal Word who is the Eternal Son) speaks, the Holy Spirit moves; He brings what exists in the eternal realm into natural existence. What we see happen already exists in the eternal.

And where did the existing eternal reality start?

It started in the intention of the Father. Every word, every action and every initiation starts with the Father.

The eternal Son of God came to earth because the Father sent Him. Presently, He is sitting at the right hand of His Father because the Father said, “Sit here.” He will also come again when the Father says it’s time to come.

The Holy Spirit was and is sent by the Father. He responds to the Word which originates from the will of the Father.

The words of Jesus and the actions of the Holy Spirit belong to and originate in the Father.
