#5101 – God Knows Best

Good morning people who don’t stray from your foundation of humility.

In the famous sermon that Jesus gave in Matthew 5-7, He starts by sharing what is commonly known as the beatitudes. Today I want to draw our attention to two of them.

Matthew 5:3 NIV Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:8 NIV Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

In the days that we live in – the days when many are trying to redefine what God has created – there is a holy call back to humility before God.

Being poor in spirit is about having an insufficiency in and from ourselves. Our best righteousness is not enough. We need God.

Being pure in heart is about our motivation and why we do what we do. We don’t try to manipulate to get what we want, including with God. We need God.

Mankind does not know best. God knows best. This starting point needs to be reestablished in believers’ lives today. Something is right if God says it is right, and it is wrong if God says it is wrong.

When we truly live humbly and submitted before God, we will walk in kingdom authority and we will see God. What beautiful promises!

Does your life reflect a true humility and submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ?
